2006 Boat Trip, Mentawai Islands, Indonesia : 2 weeks aboard my friend Adam's 10-person luxury catamaran (K.M. Nusantara) w/ only 4 friends! Not only is it big and luxurious, but it is one of the fastest boats in this surfing Disneyland. In the Mentawai Island chain, there are thousands of different waves (of all shapes, sizes, and levels of difficulty), but they can be VERY far from each other. Having a fast boat with a very big gas tank (like Adam's) gives you infinitely more options, especially when there is no swell and the waves are small like they were for our trip. By the way, Adam's crew is unbelievable, and the food was EPIC. It almost made up for the lack of waves. Well, not really, but it did keep us happy and nobody complained.

Driving a Stock Car at Daytona : Going into turn #2 (where the embankment is 6-stories tall) at 165 mph is a rush like no other. It looks like a giant wave at Waimea Bay in Hawaii and it slingshots you into the straightaway, pulling G's the whole way.
