Pipeline Contest : Full-on mental Pipeline breaking outside at 3rd reef, then breaking through 2nd reef and unloading on the inside. Truly something to see that I'll never forget. I was only there for about 30 minutes, but you can see there was plenty of action, including hairball wipeouts, rescues, and massive tubes. And to top it off, the HIC contest was going on and the guys out were the best in the world.

Jay Adams' Backyard Skate Pool w/ Kalani David : I met David David while shooting the NSSA under-17 competition behind the hotel. His kid, Kalani David, is an up-and-comer who rips, and was competing in the event. I have seen him in the magazines already, and he is young. Well, he also skates (and he's good at that too, as you can see), and they invited me to a sunset session at Jay Dams' backyard skate pool. For those of you who don't know who Jay is, rent the movie "Lords Of Doggtown" and you'll understand why I was so stoked to be invited there.
